Maria Laet in “Tangentes” exhibition at the MSK, Gent museum
Posted on September 28, 2015
Maria Laet is featuring in “Tangentes”, an exhibition curated by Catherine de Zegher at he MSK (Museum Voor Schone Kunsten, Gent, Belgium), alongside nine contemporary artists.
Their theme is the grey zone where boundaries blur and alternative viewpoints emerge.
Drawings, in the broadest sense of the medium, feature prominently: on the glass museum portal, on paper and painted on the walls; there are also videos and installations.
By working around subjective and relational tangents, the artists interrogate the contemporary worldview within a globalized society. The artists sketch an animated world in which (human) relationships have been restored and once again stand central.
Opening: Saturday October 10th
